As part of our ongoing effort to offer the most advanced technology, we are announcing the sunset of legacy ALERT devices in 2024.

The transition to ALERT2 technology is essential for the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of your ALERT systems. ALERT devices are based on legacy technology, and as the industry evolves, transitioning to ALERT2 is imperative to ensure seamless integration, improved performance, and enhanced reliability.

Key Dates

• July 31, 2024: End of Sale (EoS) – This is the last date to place an order for legacy ALERT devices (list of part numbers attached).
• December 31, 2024: End of Life (EoL) – After this date, no legacy ALERT devices will be shipped to customers.

ALERT2 technology offers numerous advantages, including:

• Faster Baud Rate: Sends more data with shorter messages.
• Exceptional Throughput: Maintains high system data throughput and minimizes data loss even during extreme weather events.
• Accurate Data: Utilizes full error detection and forward error correction for reliable data transmission.
• Synchronized Reports: Implements Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) for synchronized reporting.

To assist you in this process, we recommend starting now to factor ALERT2 upgrades in your annual budget planning for 2024-2025. Rest assured that we will continue to support legacy ALERT devices already installed in the field.
