The all weather Plastic Rain Gauge – Model 2700-00 meets National Weather Service specifications. Made of clear polycarbonate injected into a mold, the Plastic Rain Gauge consists of four pieces, the top funnel, the inside measuring tube, the outer cylinder, and the mounting bracket.

The Plastic Rain Gauge’s inner clear measuring tube will hold up to one inch of water and is graduated in 0.01 inch increments. If more than an inch of precipitation falls, then it overflows into the Plastic Rain Gauge’s larger four-inch polycarbonate collection cylinder for a total collection of eleven inches of precipitation.

The all weather Plastic Rain Gauge – Model 2700-00 slides on and off a sturdy mounting bracket for easy measuring and remounting. The Plastic Rain Gauge should be mounted on a 4×4 inch (10.2 x 10.2 cm) pole or two 2×4 inch (5.1 x 10.2 cm) poles nailed together and installed in an open space away from trees, buildings, or other obstructions that would affect the collection of precipitation.
